Why we offer a full Eye Checkup free of charge?
The American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends a comprehensive eye examination every two years for adults (ages 18 to 60) and annual examination for people over 61 years. This is to ensure healthy eyes and maintain a perfect vision with no complications. An annual comprehensive examination is advised in the case of family history of eye diseases (glaucoma, macular degeneration etc.), diabetes, and high blood pressure or have had an eye injury or surely unless otherwise indicated by your doctor. It is also highly recommended for adults who wear contact lenses to have their eyes examined every ear. An important part of the comprehensive eye examination is the dilated eye examination (to look inside your eye). This allows for early diagnosis of sight threatening eye diseases like age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, etc.
